Sometimes, I stayed until 3 am, doing due diligence work that felt meaningless to me.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I wanted to quit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>So, I started building my off-ramp.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My exit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My highway to my dream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But I had very little time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-i-used-30-minutes-a-day-to-build-my-future\"><strong>How I Used 30 Minutes a Day to Build My Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On my way to the office and back, I had roughly 30 minutes per day during my commute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I travelled against rush hour, I usually got a seat both ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That meant I could take out my laptop and write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blog posts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social media posts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Content for my future business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the few weekends when I did not have to go to the office, I worked even more on my future<a href=\"https:\/\/lawsikho.com\/blog\/law-practice-business-development\/\"> business.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That mostly meant writing more articles, blog posts, and social media content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I worked in that job for slightly less than 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the time it was my last day, I had already built a strong foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An email list<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A blog with tens of thousands of readers per month<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A few thousand social media followers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You may have come across the iPleaders blog. Today, that same blog has millions of readers per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-happened-after-i-quit-my-job\"><strong>What Happened After I Quit My Job<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When I started my business, I did not start from zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had already built attention, trust, and distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We did \u20b91 crore in revenue in the first year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was even covered by a small news portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" of your business can be life-changing even in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back then, it was 2012\u201313.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the way, in the last financial year, our company, Addictive Learning Technology Ltd, declared revenue of over \u20b965 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Big journeys often have small, humble beginnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not deprive yourself of yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-real-growth-started-while-i-was-still-working\"><strong>The Real Growth Started While I Was Still Working<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Technically, I started iPleaders in college, during my 4th year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it truly grew during the one year when I was working at the law firm in Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried to post something every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whenever I learned something new at work, I turned it into a blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, I shared it on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After some time, my posts started going viral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This led to more opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Invited by YouTubers to speak about law as a career<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invited by colleges to speak about law and business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending Startup Saturday<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteering as an organiser<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing led to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slowly, I was able to grow a personal brand and create distribution for my future company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-focused-on-what-i-could-build-distribution\"><strong>I Focused on What I Could Build: Distribution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I knew I was not a techie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I could not write code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I could not build technology products myself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>So, I focused on what I could build.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I built a distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When I quit my job, this network and distribution helped me survive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At that time, I had very little savings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I had enough money to survive for about 4 months in Mumbai.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, I started doing freelance work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a 22-year-old dropout from a law firm, I still started getting enough legal work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because my network helped me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My support came from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Startup Saturday connections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blog followers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social media connections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People who knew my work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People who trusted my skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything helped me keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-3-steps-to-building-your-personal-brand\"><strong>The 3 Steps to Building Your <strong>step 2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Step 3<\/strong> is reminding those people of your existence often.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You do that by adding value again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you consistently help people, they remember you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They hold you in high regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They come to you when they have a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They refer you to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not too complicated, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then why do so many people fail to do it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-really-stopping-you\"><strong>What Is Really Stopping You?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If I could build distribution while working in an orthodox big law firm, with only about 30 minutes per day to spare, what is stopping you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You probably have more time than I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you find <strong>1 hour per day<\/strong> to change your destiny?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 The Honest Truth About Those 30 Minutes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Someone once said it could not be true that I did all of this in just 30 minutes a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sorry, I lied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from the 30 minutes I spent commuting, I also spent some time on my Blackberry in the toilet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We did not have smartphones back then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, even that was enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"questions-you-may-be-asking-yourself\"><strong>Questions You May Be Asking Yourself<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may now be wondering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How do I find the time and resources to build my own social media presence?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do I build my own website like these professionals?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do I build a content generation engine to share my insights through blog posts, social media, and even a newsletter?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can I deliver my own TEDx talk?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is it possible to use AI to do some of these things?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can I get started next week?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the right questions to ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the first step is simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start with the time you already have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even 30 minutes to 1 hour a day, used consistently, can help you build your <a href=\"https:\/\/online.hbs.edu\/blog\/post\/personal-branding-at-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">personal brand,<\/a> grow your network, and create opportunities that may change your future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"conclusion\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion, changing your destiny does not always require huge amounts of time, perfect conditions, or major resources.
