Details of the Job/Internship
The Chambers of Moazzam Khan is hiring a Disputes Lawyer with 0–4 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients in various judicial and quasi-judicial forums across New Delhi.
- Conduct extensive legal research on complex commercial and civil statutes.
- Draft high-quality legal pleadings, including plaints, written statements, and writ petitions.
- Assist in the preparation and management of arbitration proceedings, from filing to final award.
- Prepare detailed case briefs and legal opinions for senior counsel and clients.
- Manage document discovery and organized case filing for ongoing disputes.
- Coordinate with court registries and administrative bodies to ensure procedural compliance.
- (Advantageous) Assist in IP litigation matters, including trademark and copyright infringement suits.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory: Licensed to practice law in India (Enrollment with a State Bar Council).
- 0–4 years of prior experience in Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation and Arbitration experience is a must).
- Strong proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and precise document drafting.
- Familiarity with the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
- Familiarity with IP litigation is considered a significant advantage.
