Wellversed is looking for a candidate for the position of Corporate Lawyer with 4 years of experience to join their Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, agreements, and business transactions.
- Liaise with external counsel to manage and streamline legal processes.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee intellectual property (IP) management, policy development, and compliance.
- Maintain accuracy and legal compliance of all documents and contracts.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of legal queries and successful closure of negotiations.
- Execute legal advise provided by senior legal counsel on a wide array of corporate legal matters.
- Visiting the court, and liaising with government offices and stakeholders on site.
Eligibility
- Minimum 4 Years of experience in the legal field.
- LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal compliance in international contexts is preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and resources.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, tax law, intellectual property law, labor laws.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-experts.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
