Details of the Job/Internship
Epiq is hiring Employment Lawyers with 5+ years of experience to join its roster of UK-based or remote legal professionals. The role involves advising on all aspects of employment law, supporting HR and business leaders, and handling employment-related matters for corporate clients. The position offers flexible, hybrid, or remote work arrangements depending on client requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on all aspects of employment law.
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Support HR and business leaders on employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Manage employment litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and integration.
- Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation across EMEA jurisdictions.
- Deliver training and guidance on employment law compliance.
- Support project-based work conducted remotely or on-site as required.
Eligibility
- Qualified solicitor in the UK or an equivalent jurisdiction.
- Law degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an employment lawyer in a top-tier UK law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proven experience advising on cross-border employment issues, workplace investigations, employee relations, redundancies, restructurings, and TUPE.
- Experience drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
- Experience supporting M&A transactions from an employment law perspective.
- Interest in working in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.
