Details of the Job/Internship
Onix is hiring for the position of Executive with experience of 3-10 years to join their Pune office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as software licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer as well as vendor contracts including Master services agreements, statements of works, order forms, confidentiality agreements, RFPs, etc.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
- Ensure the company’s operations comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements in India and globally.
- Advise on data protection laws (GDPR, Indian Data Protection Bill) and help implement relevant internal policies.
- Monitor legal developments and advise management on changes impacting the business.
- Advise on matters related to intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Work with product and engineering teams to ensure IP rights are protected during software development.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a recognized law school in India.
- 3-10 years of relevant experience working in-house at a technology company or a law firm specializing in technology or corporate law.
- Strong knowledge of Indian legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with software licensing, IP law, data protection laws, and corporate compliance.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to handle litigation and dispute resolution.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with international legal matters is a plus.
