Details of the Job/Internship

Spaarks is looking for a Legal Intern to assist in drafting contracts, reviewing and writing policies, and researching legal and regulatory requirements related to information security.

The intern will also support the legal team by analyzing existing SOPs and ensuring they align with compliance standards. This role is ideal for final-year law students or recent law graduates who have a keen interest in technology, data privacy, and legal compliance. The internship offers hands-on experience and provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting: Help draft and review contracts to meet legal standards and company goals. 
• Policy Writing: Assist in creating and updating internal policies (e.g., data privacy, compliance). 
• Information Security Research: Stay updated on security trends to ensure regulatory compliance. 
• SOP Analysis: Review SOPs for legal alignment with industry standards. 
• Legal Compliance: Support legal team with knowledge on data protection and best practices. 
• Administrative Support: Aid with document management, filings, and correspondence.

Eligibility

• Education: Pursuing final-year or recently completed a law degree (LLB or equivalent). 
• Detail-Oriented: Able to identify inconsistencies in documents. 
• Problem Solving: Analyze issues and suggest solutions. 
• Research Skills: Proficient in legal research, especially in data privacy/security. 
• Independence: Work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks. 
• Communication: Clearly convey legal concepts in writing and speech. 
• Tech Savvy: Basic knowledge of information security and compliance tools.
