Details of the Job/Internship
GatewayFM is looking for a Legal Advisor to work with them Remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and review customer, vendor, and procurement contracts to ensure they meet legal and commercial requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication during negotiations.
- Provide guidance on IP issues related to IT, SaaS, and software licensing, ensuring compliance and safeguarding Gateway's assets.
- Contribute to the development of commercial models for IP, SaaS, and software licensing, aligning with the company's objectives.
- Assist with basic financial evaluations, including margins, P&Ls, and cash flows, to support decision-making in contract negotiations and other commercial activities.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (BSc. in Law or equivalent, such as BBA. LLB, BCom. LLB) with knowledge of Commercial Laws and negotiation preferred.
- Master’s degree in Commercial Law, International Business (MSc.), or an MBA with a commercial/legal focus, along with a relevant Master’s degree.
Experience:
- 1-3 years in a corporate legal role, ideally with exposure to IT, SaaS, or software licensing.
- Experience in client-facing roles, including contract negotiation and IP management.
Skills:
- Generalist approach with the flexibility to shift focus as needed.
- Proven experience in fast-paced environments.
- Highly organized and process-oriented, with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competitive mindset with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.
- Solid understanding of commercial principles, particularly regarding IP and software licensing.
- Financial acumen, with knowledge of margins, P&Ls, and cash flows being a plus.
