Exlitem India is hiring for the position of Legal Analyst to join their office virtually.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and gather related information on expert witnesses involved in litigation in the United States.
- Craft boolean search strings to search leading databases to identify opinions, orders, briefs, pleadings and motions that involve expert witnesses and issues related to their testimony.
- Analyze the information and identify the nature of the expert's involvement in the case.
- Identify, analyze and summarize challenges/criticisms to the testimony of expert witnesses.
- Decipher legal issues involved and rulings on such issues in legal documents.
- Identify and tag the parties and their attorneys who retained or opposed expert witnesses.
- Identify and tag multiple documents from the same case found across different publishers and databases.
- Any other related tasks/ assignments that may be entrusted to the analyst.
Eligibility
- Graduate degree in law from a recognized college in India.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proficient in general online research and navigating search interfaces on different websites.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Detail-oriented and excellent multitasking skills.
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Access to broadband internet (minimum 50 MBPS, internet allowance will be provided).
