Details of the Job/Internship
Airbus Aircraft is hiring a Legal and Compliance Councel to join them in their Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to support the organization by rendering legal and compliance support across identified verticals in India and interacting with internal and external stakeholders. Specific responsibilities are as follows:
- Drafting, vetting, negotiating various commercial/ corporate agreements, with both domestic and international parties, all sorts of corporate contracts in the Company. Support drafting and reviewing of operational legal documents including power of attorney, memorandum of understandings, undertakings.
- Assist and support Corporate law compliance for all entities of the Company including coordinating various regulatory reportings to RBI and Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
- Support ethics and compliance investigations of potential breaches of Company policies and assist in the management of Airbus ethics & Compliance processes including supporting ethics investigation and drafting reports.
- Manage and maintain legal databases and records. Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Contribute to the development of improved legal processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Company's legal operations and procedures - regionally and globally.
- Analyses of new laws and regulations for potential impact on group policies and procedures and advising on varied legal issues.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the legal team. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
- Travel as required to support local EC teams (team meetings, business support, etc.)
- Work in close relationship and alignment with the L&C team based in India & Globally.
Eligibility
- A qualified Company Secretary and a Law Graduate with 7-12 years of overall experience working as legal counsel in a multinational or India corporate; prior secretarial experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of laws and their applicability.
- Excellent writing skills to be able to draft documents.
- Eye for detail and good analytical ability.
- High degree of compliance and professional discipline.
- Integrity and strong sense of ethics.
- Languages: Commercially fluent in English and local language.
- Strong communication skills; sound judgment; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations.
Salary/Stipend
