Details of the Job/Internship
Prudential plc is hiring for the position of Legal and Privacy Trainee to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on IRDAI Regulations and Group Policies and map the requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements on data retention, and create data dictionaries and data flow diagrams. This is in respect of personal data only to ensure compliance with privacy laws.
- Create first drafts of PHI internal policies under the guidance of the Legal Manager and Group Wide Information Security & Privacy.
- Create first drafts of PHI Customer consent forms and privacy/ Trust Statements.
- To review existing contracts for mandatory IRDAI and Privacy clauses.
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to integrate feedback into drafts.
- Help drive an awareness campaign within Prudential India/ PHI for privacy by design awareness in which customized workshops will be done for the marketing, technology, and products teams.
Eligibility
- JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree from a recognized law college.
- Prior internship experience in-house or at a law firm with privacy and cybersecurity as a specialization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite effectively.
- Excellent research capabilities.
