Clicktech Retail Private Limited ("Clicktech") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Trends Commerce Private Limited ("New Trends Commerce"). New Trends Commerce is a joint venture between Clicktech Enterprises Private Limited ("Poddar Group Entity") and Haverl LLC ("Amazon Group Entity"). Clicktech is a prominent seller on the Amazon India marketplace and is currently operating in the category of wireless, wireless accessories, consumer electronics, personal computing, home improvement, BISS - Business Industrial & Scientific Supply, wireless Devices, Smart Home Solutions, and Digital Devices. 

Details of the Job/Internship

Clicktech Retail Private Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 5 to 8 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• At Clicktech, as Legal Counsel, you will support diversified business teams across India consumer business on a broad range of legal, commercial, technology, privacy, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• You will be responsible for advising the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial transactions.
• You will work on complex and evolving regulations governing business operations in India.
• You will also have the opportunity to lead initiatives in liaison with diverse stakeholders including tax, litigation, finance, HR, public relations and public policy teams.
• The position is based in Bangalore and requires the candidate to work in the office. Domestic Travel may be needed as per the business requirements.

Eligibility

• LLB (Undergraduate Law degree) from a top-tier university in India. A Company Secretary will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 - 8 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house role, preferably with some portion of that experience in technology and commercial transactions.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing the E-commerce Marketplace in India. Hands-on experience in FDI law, Intellectual Property law, Consumer Protection law, Information Technology Law, Competition Law, and Advertising Laws.
• High degree of independence, initiative, and decisiveness but also a desire to be challenged and think outside the box.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization.
• A team player and consensus builder with great people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Sound legal and business judgment, especially in ambiguous situations.
• Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
