Details of the Job/Internship
WEchartered is hiring a Legal Executive to join them in their Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of corporate and commercial matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the organization's interests.
- Assist in managing litigation cases, including maintaining and organizing case-related documentation.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel, investment banking teams, and other departments to address complex legal issues.
- Provide legal guidance on investment banking transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, securities offerings, and due diligence.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters related to financial markets and investment banking operations.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes to proactively address potential risks.
- Prior experience in a legal advisory role within an investment banking or financial services environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with financial regulations, securities compliance, and market practices.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution; advanced certifications in finance or investment banking will be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and securities law, particularly in the investment banking domain.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and transactional law.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Litigation experience and enrollment in the BAR Council of Gurgaon will be preferred.
