Details of the Job/Internship
Legodesk is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with experience of 4+ years to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Litigation Oversight: Manage and oversee all litigation processes related to collections and debt recovery, including developing case strategies, preparing legal documents, and representing the company in Court.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all debt recovery practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, including those established by the Reserve Bank of India.
- Legal Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, arguments, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Client Communication: Act as a liaison between the company and clients regarding their accounts, providing legal advice and updates on case statuses.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of junior lawyers and paralegals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.
- Strategic Development: Formulate strategies for effective debt recovery while minimizing litigation risks and costs.
- Industry Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in laws affecting collections and debt recovery practices to ensure compliance and implement best practices.
Eligibility
- Education: LLB from an accredited law school.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 of experience in litigation, specifically in collections and debt recovery.
- Licensure: Admitted to practice law in Karnataka.
