LexGeneris is hiring a Patent Associate with experience of 2 to 6 years to join their office Online.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and file patent applications, with a particular focus on mechanical or ICT technologies, ensuring precision and technical clarity.
- Prepare responses to office actions and represent clients in patent hearings.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on patent matters within mechanical, ICT, or related fields.
- Collaborate with inventors, R&D teams, and clients to understand technical details and develop strong patent applications.
- Stay updated on patent law and regulatory developments to ensure compliance.
- Actively engage with clients, providing expert guidance and building long-term relationships.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential clients, attending networking events, and supporting marketing strategies.
- Assist in client communications and help expand the firm's client portfolio through strategic outreach.
Eligibility
- Patent Drafting Expertise: Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in drafting patent applications, with a focus on mechanical or ICT technologies.
- Patent Prosecution & Hearings: Experience in preparing office action responses and handling hearings.
- Client Engagement: Ability to build strong client relationships, understand their needs, and offer solutions.
- Business Generation: Demonstrated interest or experience in client acquisition, networking, and contributing to business development.
- Education: A Master’s or PhD degree will be preferred.
- Certification: Registered Patent Agent status will be an added advantage.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to deeply understand and analyze technical subject matters in mechanical or ICT fields for patent applications.
- Proven track record of successfully managing patent matters across mechanical or ICT industries.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and technical teams.
- Experience in generating business opportunities and growing a client base.
