Details of the Job/Internship
BHIVE Workspace is currently seeking a Legal Associate to join their team in Bengaluru. As a leading provider of co-working and flexible leasing solutions in commercial real estate, BHIVE Workspace is committed to upholding legal compliance and excellence in all aspects of their operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements for day-to-day working, such as Lease Deeds/ Leave and License agreements with Landlords, Membership Agreements with Customers, Service level agreements with Vendors, Trust Deed, Sale Deed, Vendor agreements/ Engagement Letters, MOUs, etc.
- Drafting Legal Notices and Responses to Notices, Complaints and responses to complaints, etc
- Maintaining legal checklist to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures by various internal departments/ stakeholders.
- Co-ordinating with Internal functions including Sales, Operations teams, etc.
- Co-ordinating with External stakeholders such as Trustees, Law Firms, Counsels, Advisors, etc.
- Maintaining cause list and updates of Litigations with support of external counsels.
- Maintaining updates on applicable laws, including BBMP byelaws, Labour law, Shops & Establishments etc
Eligibility
Key Competencies:
- Well-adept at drafting agreements, deeds, and documents, notices
- General understanding of workspace office business and real-estate industry
- Awareness and understanding of SEBI related regulations, and Companies Act, 2013
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convince and handle stakeholders in multiple departments
- Organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Should be able to come to office every day and attend hearings in courts/ tribunals/ arbitration centres etc as and when required.
Qualifications: LLB with Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the legal field in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer.
