This course is for you if:

You are a High Court or a trial court lawyer anywhere in India and you wonder what it would take for you to practice law before the Supreme Court.
You are a lawyer who practices outside of Delhi and wants to practice in the Supreme Court.
You find it difficult to stand out from the crowd in a crowded legal market and want something unique to showcase your credibility.
You aspire to be a Supreme Court lawyer while still practicing in your hometown.
You are a first-generation lawyer with a practice in the High Court and other forums but have hit a plateau and do not know how to expand your practice further.

At the same time the AOR Exam is a very difficult exam.

You cannot treat it like your college exam, or even the judiciary exam.
It requires extensive practice.
For exams like judiciary, a lot of knowledge is sufficient - but the Advocate-on-Record Exam tests you on more nuances.
You need a lot of practice of writing answers legibly and fast, in a way that the examiner can understand.
Nobody makes you practice that. Nobody coaches you on this. Even the training sessions opposite the Supreme Court do not. As a result, lot of people fail.
Sometimes there may not be one correct answer to the questions- there may be multiple correct answers!
However, it is possible to prepare for it.

What are the benefits of cracking the AOR Exam?

you can work on Supreme Court matters for your clients - that is a huge matter of prestige plus you can earn much more financially for performing Supreme Court work.
Your ability to convert clients will improve even for lower court and High Court matters, because there will be very few other AORs in those forums, especially if you are outside Delhi.
Clients may not bargain with you for lower fees once they know that you are an AOR because it represents superior credentials in comparison to other lawyers.
You can mention that you are an Advocate-on-Record in your trial court and High Court filings, and it can make a big difference when a judge goes through the file.
Since your drafting will be much better if you are preparing for AOR (even without having cracked the exam), you will often get relief for that reason at lower courts also.
In court, judges are likely to hear your arguments more attentively, because they know that you can challenge incorrect orders at higher forums until the Supreme Court
You will earn the respect of your peers and seniors at the bar as well
You will have more confidence because you will be thoroughly prepared, not just for your client’s case, but beyond, right until it goes to the Supreme Court - the confidence will show in your conversations with clients.

Who can enrol for the LawSikho Courses?

We recommend that you should have completed your Higher Secondary / Class XII from a recognized Board / University. In the case of foreign nationals, you should have completed the equivalent of Higher Secondary in India in your respective country. You should also be comfortable with the English language and using a computer. However, we have no formal pre-qualification requirements because we are not a University or college. Anyone who wants to learn is welcome to join our courses.

Are hard copy study materials provided for reference, or are there only online classes?

Students of LawSikho will be provided hard copy materials, we will dispatch it within 45 days of your course commencement date.

However, online classes, videos, regulatory updates and periodic upgrades to the courses cannot be included in the hard copies. We will provide you with hard copy material for all important chapters. We keep adding many new chapters from time to time and there are restrictions on page numbers so all online material cannot be available in hard copy. We would keep adding new material online from time to time, so please do not expect all such material to be made available in the hard copy also. You can use the hard copy materials for your reference, however, we recommend that you do not exclusively rely on hard copies for cracking the assessment test and the exercises. Please refer to the online library of materials from time to time.
