- The 7th Pay Commission has recommended an increase in salary structure. Private colleges have also increased salaries to lure teachers - private law universities pay approx. INR 70,000 to Assistant Professors, and INR 1,00,000 to 1,45,000 to professors.
- Colleges such as Jindal Global Law School which pays INR 17.3 lakhs per annum to Assistant Professors, and 12 lakh per annum to Research Assistants.
