Details of the Organization
MANUU Law School aims to explore and identify novel areas of law and policy through relentless engagement in developing legal theory and practice, academic potential, critical analytical ability and advocacy skills so as to fully equip the students with a learning which is intellectually stimulating, socially vital and professionally enriching. It has adopted a multidisciplinary approach towards legal education and develops a positive attitude in students to make them realize that the lawyers are an integral part of the system of adjudication, determination of policies and setting up of standards for regulation of various activities through relevant institutions.
MANUU Law School currently offers 5 Years B.A. LL. B (Hons), 3- Years LL. B, 2 Years M.A. (Legal Studies), One Year LL.M (with 6 specializations) and Ph.D. The Moot Court (Shri R. Venkataramani Moot Court) of the newly established Law School at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad was inaugurated on Saturday, 6th July 2024 by the Attorney General for India Shri R. Venkataramani.
Details of the Moot Court Competition
MANUU Law School, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad is delighted to announce lst MANUU Law School National Moot Court Competition, 2025. This flagship event has been devised with the aim to create an opportunity for learning the development of Contract law on emerging trends, besides armoring the upcoming generations of the legal fraternity with research and oratory skills. The School of Law, Maulana Azad National Urdu University proudly presents its Inaugural National Moot Court Competition, focusing on the dynamic realm of Contract Law.
1st MANUU Law School Moot Court Competition, Hyderabad will be conducted in two phases in hybrid mode.
- Preliminary & Quater Rounds: 8 & 9 March 2025 (Online Mode)
- Semi Final & Finals Rounds: 18 March 2025 (Offline Mode)
- Language: The official language of the competition shall be English, for written as well as oral submissions.
Dress Code:
Participants shall be in advocate's attire throughout the conduct of the Competition (Inaugural Ceremony, Oral Rounds, Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution) in the manner provided below:
- For Men: Formals (White formal shirt with black formal trousers, black tie, a black blazer and black shoes); and
- For Women: Formals (White formal shirt with black formal trousers/skirt, and black blazer, and shoes.
Robes and collar bands are not permitted
Accommodation: Accommodation will not be provided by the event organizers. However, if you wish to stay in the University Guest House, the accommodation will be available on 17th to 19th March only, and accommodation payment is to be made in advance. Details mentioned in the rulebook.
Eligibility
- A 5-year integrated B.A LL. B (Hons) and LL. B (3 Years) program from the Institution/College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India or equally competent authority shall be eligible to participate in the competition.
- Only one team from a particular Institution/College/University can register for participation.
- In case of any ambiguity, the Organizers reserve the right to decide.
- Students pursuing Diploma Courses or Certificate Courses are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the competition.
Team Composition
- Each team shall comprise a maximum number of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or a minimum number of two members (two speakers). In the event a team consists of only 2 members, then none of the members shall be allowed to participate as a researcher in the Researcher's Test.
- In the event any change is required in the name of a participant and/or in his/her designation as a speaker or a researcher, the same shall be communicated to the Organizers via e-mail latest by 23rd February 2025, 5:00 P.M. IST.
- However, such change shall not be automatically considered on sending an email. It may be permitted or rejected by the Organizers and such decision shall be duly communicated to the participating team.
- Once the competition commences on 8th March, 2025 no interchangeability amongst/between the speakers and/or researcher shall be allowed at any point in the competition unless under exceptional circumstances with the permission of the Organizers.

- Winner: Cash Prize of INR 20, 000/ - (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Runner Up: Cash prize of INR 10,000/ - (Rupees Ten Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Speaker (Male): Cash prize of INR 5,000/ - (Rupees Five Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Speaker (Female): Cash prize of INR 5,000/ - (Rupees Five Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Memorial: Cash prize of INR 5,000/ - (Rupees Five Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence
Registration Fees (if any)
All the teams shall be required to make a payment of INR 1,500 via Bank Transfer with registration form to register for the Competition. The details for the payment of Registration Fee will be e- mailed to you, after you apply.
