Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, established under the Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006, is a premier national law university committed to excellence in comprehensive legal education, research, and professional training. The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at RGNUL promotes student engagement and research in ADR methods such as arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and conciliation, fostering access to socio-economic justice. CADR is known for organizing prestigious events like the RGNUL National Negotiation Competition and the Sports & Entertainment Law Mediation Competition. Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai, a top-ranked Indian law firm since 1998, offers expert services in arbitration, litigation, corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, catering to clients from MSMEs to MNCs.
Details of the MUN/Debate/Competition
The CADR is collaborating with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, headquartered in Chennai, India to organise the sixth edition of the Surana & Surana and RGNUL International Arbitral Award Writing Competition, 2025.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to students pursuing B.A. LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., or M.Phil. from any recognized university across the world.
- Students from RGNUL are eligible to participate but will not be considered for the top three prizes if placed among them.

Awards
- First Prize: ₹25,000/-
- Second Prize: ₹15,000/-
- Third Prize: ₹10,000/-
- Consolation Prizes: ₹1,000/- each (Next five best entries).
