Details of the Job/Internship

The Esya Centre is looking for a candidate for the position of Research fellow with 3+ years of experience to join work with them in remote mode.

Role and Responsibilities

• Authoring long-form reports, issue briefs, consultation responses, blogs, and opeds. 
• Leading and supporting wider research projects, including literature reviews, survey design, and analysis. 
• Collaborating with colleagues across research verticals and supporting cross functional initiatives as needed. 
• Assisting in organising events, workshops, and roundtable discussions, including providing administrative and logistical support. 
• Building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, industry representatives, and academic institutions to strengthen the Centre’s outreach and impact. 
• Supporting the Centre’s institution-building efforts through internal process development and strategic planning. 
• Contributing to the Centre’s public outreach activities, including through digital media platforms.

Eligibility

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law or public policy.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in technology policy, regulation, governance, or adjacent areas.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualise and manage research projects independently.
• Strong research and writing skills, with a track record of producing clear, concise, and insightful outputs.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and external representation.
• High degree of initiative, ownership, and ability to manage multiple  responsibilities effectively.

Salary/Stipend
