Details of the Job/Internship
Surana & Surana International Attorneys is hiring a Deputy Head – Real Estate Law Practice with 7–10 years of experience to join their Chennai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed title verification and legal due diligence.
- Handle real estate transactions including sale, purchase, lease, and joint development agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate and commercial contracts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory laws including RERA and FEMA.
- Manage property document registration and liaise with government authorities.
- Supervise a team of junior lawyers and oversee their work.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients and participate in negotiations.
- Represent the firm in legal seminars, conferences, and thought leadership activities.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- 7–10 years of post-qualification experience in real estate law.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in handling RERA, FEMA, and property documentation.
- Excellent communication and client advisory skills.
