Details of the Job/Internship

Chopade Group of Companies is hiring an Advocate on a contractual basis, requiring a commitment of two full days at the corporate office in Pune. The role involves supporting the company’s legal needs in the salon, spa, and education industry, with a focus on commercial contracts, franchise agreements, labor laws, consumer rights, and regulatory compliance relevant to the service sector.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet legal documents including franchise agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, and employment contracts.
• Provide legal guidance on franchise operations under FOFO or FOCO models, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Handle legal notices, disputes, and consumer grievances, particularly related to salon services.
• Ensure compliance with local municipal rules, labor laws, and beauty industry-specific regulations.
• Assist in resolving franchise partner disputes, customer claims, and internal staff matters.
• Provide training or guidance to internal teams regarding legal best practices and contract management.
• Coordinate with external counsel as needed and support in litigation or arbitration proceedings.
• Maintain organized records of contracts and legal correspondence.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized university; enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience, preferably in commercial law, franchise law, or the beauty/wellness/retail sector.
• Knowledge of the Consumer Protection Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and Labor Laws.
• Experience handling legal issues specific to service-based industries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
• Preferred: Prior experience with beauty salons, wellness centers, or franchise-based businesses.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments on a project basis.
• Proactive and solution-oriented legal mindset.

Salary/Stipend
