Seamless Speciality Groups is hiring for the position of Advocate with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Chennai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee legal aspects of customs clearance to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Liaise with government departments and regulatory authorities to manage legal and statutory requirements.
• Provide legal opinions and strategic counsel on a wide range of legal matters impacting the organization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation with a focus on precision and legal soundness.
• Represent the organization in court proceedings, including appearances before the High Court and lower courts.
• Conduct thorough legal research and keep the organization informed of relevant legislative and regulatory changes.
• Mentor junior legal staff and promote high standards of legal practice across the team.
• Manage disputes and proactively work to minimize legal risks and resolve conflicts.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law (LLB/LLM)
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, with a proven track record in litigation, especially High Court matters
• Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, and customs-related laws and procedures
• Excellent drafting and court appearance skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with exceptional legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external authorities

Salary/Stipend
