Details of the Job/Internship

Themis Attorneys is hiring an Advocate to join their practice in Chennai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in various court proceedings and before specialized tribunals.
• Conduct exhaustive legal research and case analysis to ensure robust preparation for hearings.
• Draft and review complex legal documents, including petitions, applications, and commercial contracts.
• Provide strategic legal advice and opinions to clients based on sound analytical thinking.
• Negotiate settlements and facilitate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to Indian legal regulations and procedural compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal legal teams to develop and execute comprehensive case strategies.
• Maintain consistent and professional client interaction to address case-specific needs.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• Mandatory: Valid registration with the relevant Bar Council.
• Proficiency in case analysis, legal research, and high-quality legal writing.
• Strong knowledge of Litigation, Arbitration, and Mediation practices.
• Proven experience in drafting petitions, contracts, and legal agreements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior courtroom experience and domain-specific expertise are considered a significant advantage.
