Details of the Job/Internship

Kotak Neo is hiring a Legal - Litigation / Non-Litigation professional with experience of relevant years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Attend proceedings before Courts, Arbitrators, Tribunals, and investigating authorities.
• Handle Civil, Criminal, and Arbitration matters, including inquiries by the Police and Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
• Draft a wide range of pleadings, including Replies, Rejoinders, Affidavits, and Statement of Claims.
• Appear and present cases independently on behalf of the company in various legal and quasi-judicial forums.
• Review and negotiate terms for vendor contracts across functions like IT, Marketing, and Operations.
• Manage corporate legal support activities and handle legal compliances independently.
• Undertake legal structuring of transactions and provide advice to business operations on compliance issues.
• Standardize legal templates and draft internal processes to improve organizational efficiency.

Eligibility

• Professional degree in Law (LL.B/LL.M).
• Proven experience in handling both litigation and non-litigation legal matters.
• Strong drafting skills for legal notices, written statements, and commercial contracts.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory and investigation authorities like the EOW or Police.
• Ability to handle contract negotiations and legal structuring independently.
• Deep understanding of civil, criminal, and arbitration laws in India.
