Details of the Job/Internship

Dr Lal PathLabs is hiring an Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Legal with 13–14+ years of experience to join their team in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee all litigation and arbitration matters, including civil, criminal, and consumer protection cases.
• Manage and monitor the legal aspects of laboratory setup, ensuring all PCPNDT and other state/national licenses are secured.
• Act as a trusted advisor on medico-legal issues, IPR, labor laws, and statutory compliance.
• Develop robust legal systems, processes, and SOPs for a centralized Legal Department through internal gap analysis.
• Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker and present status updates and risk assessments to senior management.
• Draft, review, and issue legal notices to resolve conflicts raised by internal business teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and biomedical waste handling protocols.
• Coordinate with an external panel of advocates and lead internal investigations into regulatory inquiries.
• Lead and mentor legal team members while managing cross-functional collaboration.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Master of Laws (LLM).
• Professional Experience: 13–14+ years of experience, preferably in Healthcare, Diagnostics, Retail, or Big 4 consultancy.
• Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of the Companies Act and laboratory-specific regulatory frameworks.
• Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking for complex documents, and leadership experience in case management.
• Tech Savviness: Proficiency with legal research tools and contract management systems.
