Lenskart.com is hiring an AM-Legal with experience of 4+ years to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on properties to be leased by the company, ensuring all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met before entering into any lease agreements.
- Drafting & Reviewing Lease Deeds: Draft, review, and negotiate lease deeds and related agreements for retail stores leased by the company, ensuring the company's best interests are protected in all aspects.
- Ancillary Documentation Review: Review and manage all ancillary legal documents related to real estate leases, such as guarantor agreements, subleases, and amendments.
- Contract Management & Safekeeping: Ensure the safekeeping and proper management of all lease contracts. This includes maintaining a contract master, coordinating registrations, and implementing efficient internal workflow management tools.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including the Real Estate, Finance, and Operations departments, to ensure timely execution of lease agreements and compliance with internal policies.
- Legal Advisory: Provide sound legal advice on various real estate matters, guiding internal stakeholders through complex legal processes and resolving any legal issues related to real estate transactions.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
- 4+ years of experience in real estate law, specifically in leasing and contract management, ideally in a corporate or retail setting.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, contract law, and related regulations.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease deeds, property agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ability to handle due diligence and manage property-related legal documentation effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
