American Express is hiring for the position of Analyst Compliance with 6+ years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end due diligence on transaction monitoring alerts, using in-depth research to identify and mitigate risks.
 - Support transaction monitoring simulations by providing data, insights, and analysis to strengthen system effectiveness.
 - Develop and refine system rules to detect red flag indicators and proactively mitigate risks.
 - Manage SLAs for alerts to ensure 100% compliance, leveraging internal tools and robust controls.
 - Gain and apply expertise in investigative tools (e.g., Dow Jones, World-Check) to assess potential risks.
 - Escalate and resolve identified risks/issues with urgency while maintaining adherence to compliance timelines.
 - Collaborate with oversight teams, business partners, and stakeholders to address compliance gaps and implement long-term solutions.
 - Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers using structured risk categorization frameworks.
 - Stay current on sanctions, PEP screening, and international compliance requirements to strengthen controls.
 - Design and maintain compliance dashboards to provide real-time insights for leadership and committees.
 - Conduct periodic risk assessments, identify emerging threats, and recommend mitigation strategies.
 - Prepare and deliver comprehensive audit-ready documentation for internal and external reviews.
 - Contribute to a best-in-class compliance culture by driving continuous improvement and program effectiveness.
 
Eligibility
- Strong academic background (CA, MBA, CAMS, LLB preferred) with 6+ years of relevant experience; AML compliance experience is an advantage.
 - In-depth knowledge of AML/KYC regulations (RBI and global frameworks).
 - Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail.
 - Familiarity with compliance laws, regulations, and policies with the ability to apply them in practice.
 - Skilled in stakeholder management and providing timely, actionable guidance.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in engaging senior leadership.
 - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
