Details of the Job/Internship

UPL is hiring an Analyst - Legal IPR with 5 years of experience for their Pune office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the registration and maintenance of Intellectual Property rights, including Trademarks, Patents and Copyrights. 
• Maintain accurate and organized records of IP assets and related documentation 
• Promotion of IPR culture, Awareness Programs, Workshops, Interactions, etc. Monitor and enforce IP rights culture within the organization. 
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of IP issues, including infringement and licensing opportunities. 
• Share inputs with regions on local laws related to IPR issues and on draft Acts, International Conventions and Treaties on the IPR subject. 
• Merger & Acquisition specialist IP support including working with external counsel on IP due diligence and managing post-acquisition IP integration 
• Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments 
• Creates and presents the IP landscape and trends in areas of strategic interest 
• Stay updated on changes in IP law, regulations and industry best practices 
• Assist the respective locations with IP litigation and disputes 
• Perform competitive and benchmark analysis of patents and the commercial product landscape to support the assessment of companies for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) or investment. 
• Drafting of provisions on protection of IPR in agreements and MOU’s entered into by UPL offices globally. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance and support on IP matters, including product development, marketing and branding. 

Eligibility

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience. 
• Preferred experience with IP search databases and apps like : Derwent Innovation, Minesoft, and Questel. 
• Experience in managing Legal Desk, data management and organizing data 
• Preferably bachelor’s degree in law or a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property, LLM (IP)
