Details of the Job/Internship

DESRI is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst – Legal & Compliance (EPC & Regulatory Lawyer) with 2-3 years of experience to work with them in Warangal Rural, Telangana.

Role and Responsibilities

• You will be working on energy and infrastructure projects from the start of construction to commercial operation, with a focus on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings.
• In this role, you will collaborate with deal teams, asset managers, EPC contractors, and other attorneys across various DESRI offices to support our energy regulatory filing and reporting obligations, as well as to work with our EPC team on agreements and other matters related to the construction of our projects.
• Additionally, you will also provide education and training on various topics, including the company’s legal policies and procedures, and support project teams in ensuring compliance with construction and environmental laws affecting energy projects.

Eligibility

• A Bachelor’s degree in law with a proven record of academic achievement and 2-3 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing EPC contracts, energy regulatory law, and regulatory filings in the infrastructure industry
• Well-developed analytical abilities, communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail, along with a deep interest in exploring and learning new areas of the law.
• A keen sense of judgement, a demonstrated ability to take initiative, and collaborate with colleagues in support of highly complex transactions.
• Experience with a law firm, or familiarity with autonomous power producers (IPPs), utilities, or energy developers.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector.
