Details of the Job/Internship
S&A Law Offices ("S&A") is looking for a candidate for the role of Arbitration with 2 to 6 years of experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research and analysis and advising clients on legal strategic advisory and potential outcomes.
- Drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents, including complaints, pleadings of all sorts, writs, briefs, and appeals.
- Collaborating with the team, clients, and attorneys, including senior counsel(s) and paralegals, to ensure seamless coordination, preparation, and management of litigation cases.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress, advising on risks and potential resolutions, and addressing their concerns. Manage and mentor junior associates and team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development.
- Advising clients on the appropriateness of arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism and formulating effective arbitration strategies.
- Evaluating legal risks and potential outcomes, offering practical solutions to enhance clients' positions in arbitration proceedings.
- Drafting informative and relevant legal content such as write-ups, articles, posts, transaction alerts etc., on behalf of the organization.
- Having first-hand experience in handling (either solo or as a part of Team) arbitration from the stage of data assimilation, data discovery, research, calculation of claims, issuance of demand notice, notice invoking arbitration, drafting of statement of claim, statement of defence, counter claim, other related pleadings, applications (before Tribunal as well as Court), evidence, argument Notes, etc.
- Experience in various models, theories and legal principles regarding quantification of claims.
- Drafting of petitions, challenging arbitral award and other related pleadings and applications.
Eligibility
- BA LLB/LLB with top tier law College.
- Must be registered member of Bar Council of India.
- Should have experience in handling Arbitration related matters.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, error-free, legally robust content.
- Hands-on experience in handling Corporate and Commercial Disputes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Should have participated/helped or handled cross examination including briefing to seniors.
- Undertaken research work including case-laws research, technical research etc.
- Commercial Suits.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
