SK Finance Ltd is hiring for the position of Area Legal Manager - Non Litigation to join their office in Mandsaur.
Role and Responsibilities
- Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with external legal vendors to conduct thorough title due diligence of property documents.
- Legal Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of property laws, title verification processes, mortgage regulations, and legal nuances related to affordable housing loans and loan against property (LAP).
- Policy & Process Development: Develop region-specific collateral policies and establish robust legal assessment frameworks to streamline due diligence and risk mitigation.
- Document Review: Review and vet original property documents to ensure compliance and legal soundness.
- Training & Support:
- Conduct regular training sessions for branch teams on legal processes and documentation standards.
- Provide ongoing support and resolution for legal queries raised by Sales, Credit, Business, and Operations teams.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and evaluate performance of external legal vendors to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Audit Support: Address legal documentation gaps flagged during internal audits and provide timely resolutions.
- Employee Onboarding: Deliver process training for new hires at both state and national levels.
- Fraud Detection: Identify and investigate potential frauds involving property documents; recommend preventive actions.
- Field Verification: Conduct physical visits to government authorities to verify collateral authenticity and title validity.
- Document Compliance Tracking: Monitor and manage OTC (Original Title Collection) and PDD (Post Disbursement Documents) to ensure timely follow-up and closure.
