Details of the Job/Internship

Kogta Financial is hiring an Area Legal Manager with at least 5 years of experience to lead their Litigation and Recovery efforts in Bhopal. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all litigation matters specifically related to high-value collections and asset recovery.
• Execute recovery actions under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, including coordinating with District Magistrates and police authorities for physical possession.
• Manage and monitor legal proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (cheque bounce cases).
• File and handle Execution Petitions (EP) across various courts to ensure the implementation of judicial decrees.
• Conduct field-level collection visits to interact with delinquent borrowers and facilitate settlements.
• Coordinate with external advocates and internal recovery teams to ensure a seamless legal-to-collection workflow.
• Maintain detailed MIS reports on case status, recovery progress, and legal risks for the regional leadership.

Eligibility

• Qualification: LL.B / LL.M from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in legal recovery or litigation (preferably with an NBFC or Bank).
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
• Gender: Male (as per the hiring alert specifications for field-intensive recovery).
• Vertical Expertise: Familiarity with Legal—LAP (Loan Against Property) and MSME sectors.
• Location Preference: Local candidates from Bhopal or nearby areas will be preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the N.I. Act, SARFAESI Act, and civil execution procedures.
