Details of the Job/Internship

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited is hiring an Area Legal Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The position involves handling all legal matters and compliance requirements within the designated region. The role includes preparation and review of legal documents, providing legal consultancy, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards, managing legal affairs, representing the organisation in legal proceedings, and coordinating with external legal partners.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handling all legal matters and compliance requirements for the assigned region.
• Drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal documents.
• Providing legal consultancy and sound legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Managing legal risks and overseeing legal affairs.
• Representing the organisation in legal proceedings.
• Managing and coordinating with external legal counsel and legal partners.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
• An LLM or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of legal statutes and frameworks.
• Experience in legal compliance and legal affairs.
• Ability to handle on-site responsibilities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with legal frameworks applicable to the financial services and lending sector is a plus.
