Details of the Job/Internship
Vigil Juris is hiring a full-time Junior Advocate with 0–2 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. Pay will be commensurate with competencies, work experience, and will proportionally increase with demonstrated growth.
Role and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of laws, case laws, and the ability to research and interpret them.
- Drafting, filing, litigation, and court appearances.
- Preparing reporting emails, bills for work done, back-office tasks, court department coordination, and intra-office liaison for preparation of briefs.
- Coordinating filing, e-filing, registry/department follow-ups, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Following up with clients to complete legal processes and procedures.
- Sorting files, papers, and proceedings.
- Copying, scanning, printing, stitching, binding legal compilations, and organising documents, exhibits, annexures, and compilations for hearings.
- Preparing minutes of meetings and court hearings.
- Proficiency in computers, typing, and Microsoft Office with reasonable typing ability.
- Maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
Eligibility
Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience.
