Details of the Job/Internship

Vigil Juris is hiring for the position of Assistant Advocate with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Sound knowledge of laws, case laws, and the ability to research, locate, and interpret them effectively.
• Drafting, filing, and handling litigation matters, including appearing before courts.
• Writing reporting emails, preparing bills for work done, and managing back-office coordination.
• Liaising with court departments and internal teams for preparation of briefs.
• Coordinating physical filing, e-filing, and registry/department follow-ups to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Following up with clients for completion of legal processes and procedural requirements.
• Sorting, organizing, and maintaining files, papers, and court proceedings.
• Copying, scanning, printing, stitching, and binding legal compilations; organizing documents, exhibits, annexures, and hearing compilations.
• Preparing minutes of meetings and court hearings.
• Using computers efficiently, including typing and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters at all times.

Eligibility

• Fresh law graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience.
• Strong interest in litigation and court practice.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced legal environment.

Salary/Stipend
