BITS Law School, Mumbai is hiring for the position of Assistant/ Associate Professor (Civil Procedure Code) to join their campus in Kalyan. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Teaching and Academic Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in teaching full-semester courses in Civil Procedure Code (CPC) to students enrolled in 5-year integrated BA/BBA LLB programmes.
• Proven track record of quality teaching, supported by consistent and positive student evaluations and feedback.
• Strong ability to mentor students across academic activities, including learning support, research guidance, writing supervision, tutorials, and individual mentoring sessions.
• Competence in curating and updating core curriculum, and designing innovative, interdisciplinary elective courses tailored for law students.
• Institutional and Pedagogical Engagement:
• Willingness to contribute actively to institution-building through engagement with new academic ideas, implementation of innovative teaching methodologies, collaborative academic planning, and participation in institutional initiatives.
• Commitment to academic integrity and timely execution of responsibilities related to examinations, internal assessments, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
• Research and Scholarship:
• Ability to conceptualize and articulate a well-defined research agenda aligned with contemporary legal scholarship.
• Proven potential to produce high-quality research with the aim of contributing substantially to the discipline through scholarly publications and academic engagement.

Eligibility

• Excellent academic background with a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) securing at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade as per the applicable grading system).
• Qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or an equivalent test such as SLET/SET accredited by the UGC.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have recently completed their Ph.D. in Law, are close to submission or award, or are actively pursuing doctoral research at a reputed institution.
