Details of the Job/Internship

AlphaSense is hiring an Assistant Counsel, Commercial Contracts with 1+ Years of experience for its legal team in India (Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, or remote).

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial contracts, with a strong focus on vendor/supplier agreements.
• Provide general transactional support across the organization.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidance affecting commercial agreements.
• Work across different functional groups and time zones in a dynamic environment.
• Offer legal and strategic business advice to ensure agreements align with internal policies and playbooks.
• Support the Managing Counsel, Associate Counsel, and the broader legal team as needed.

Eligibility

• Fully qualified lawyer enrolled (or eligible to enroll) with the Bar Council of India.
• Preferably 1+ years’ experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, either in-house or with a nationally recognized law firm.
• Ability to analyze, review, and negotiate a broad range of global commercial contracts (MSAs, Services Agreements, SOWs, SLAs, Order Forms, NDAs, etc.).
• Strong business acumen and a pragmatic, business-friendly mindset.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with contract management systems, procurement tools, and privacy is a plus.
