Details of the Job/Internship

AMPIN Energy Transition is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel for its Kolkata office. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing regulatory compliance, and supporting land acquisition and project finance activities across renewable energy projects.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including Term Sheets, PPAs (captive/group captive/bilateral), and EPC contracts.
• Handle agreements related to Behind the Meter (BTM) and Rooftop solar solutions.
• Provide regulatory updates and representations on Electricity Act 2003, Electricity Rules 2005, Grid Code, Tariff Orders, ARR, Open Access, and Net Metering Regulations in eastern India.
• Advise on CERC and CEA regulations, including ISTS/General Network Access (GNA).
• Conduct title due diligence and authentication for land acquisitions for solar and wind projects.
• Maintain custody of legal and title documents, updating senior management on progress and suggesting action plans.
• Prepare project milestones, cash flows, and related documentation using Excel.
• Collaborate closely with team members locally and remotely, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Eligibility

• LL.B. with specialization in Power Law, preferably from a reputed institute.
• 5–8 years post-qualification experience; candidates with renewable energy sector experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Salary/Stipend
