Details of the Job/Internship

Honeywell is hiring an Assistant General Counsel with experience of 10+ years to join their office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as the lead legal advisor on hiring, terminations, and senior-level employee relations matters.
• Provide deep expertise on India’s new labor codes, including wages, industrial relations, and social security.
• Advise on union-related matters, collective bargaining, and engagement with employee representatives.
• Oversee labor litigation, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings while supervising external counsel.
• Lead or advise on complex internal investigations to ensure procedural fairness and legal integrity.
• Support workforce restructuring, site changes, and labor-related due diligence for M&A activities.
• Design and deliver labor law training for HR and leadership teams to build organizational capability.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LL.B. or LL.M.) and a valid license to practice law in India.
• Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a focus on labor and employment law.
• Demonstrated experience advising on or implementing India’s new labor codes.
• Strong background in managing labor litigation and government agency interactions.
• Prior in-house experience in a multinational or large, complex organization is preferred.
• Experience with both manufacturing (blue-collar) and corporate (white-collar) workforce issues.
