Details of the Job/Internship
Schindler Group is hiring an Assistant General Manager - Legal & COC with experience of 12–15 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage corporate litigation, including commercial, employment, and regulatory disputes.
- Oversee external counsel to ensure cost efficiency and effective legal strategies.
- Conduct internal investigations regarding code of conduct violations and ethics complaints.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and employee training programs.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide legal guidance during organizational crises and regulatory inquiries.
- Lead data protection initiatives and ensure compliance with DPDP and privacy laws.
- Manage corporate secretarial responsibilities, including board resolutions and statutory filings.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes to provide actionable advice to the business.
Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); Company Secretary (CS) qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 12–15 years of overall experience in corporate law, including at least 5 years in litigation practice.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in investigations, police complaints, crisis management, and secretarial compliances.
- Professional Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Companies Act, contract law, and corporate governance standards.
- Competencies: Strategic thinking, high ethical standards, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters.
