Details of the Job/Internship
GlaxoSmithKline plc is hiring an Assistant Legal Counsel with 5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drive operational efficiency by optimizing legal workflows, processes, and systems.
- Use Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools to manage contracts and automate workflows.
- Monitor legal spend and manage alternative fee arrangements.
- Collaborate with external counsel and vendors to implement best practices in legal operations.
- Act as a trusted partner to internal teams, external firms, and vendors.
- Communicate proactively to align legal and business requirements.
- Support litigation through coordination, document preparation, and record management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate Framework Engagement Agreements, Accelerated Engagement Agreements, Alternative Fee Arrangement Agreements, and Global Billing Guidelines.
- Ensure agreements comply with GSK’s policies and legal standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements across legal operations.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable outcomes and support GELRT’s objective of reducing external legal spend.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or relevant certification is an advantage.
- 5 years of experience in corporate legal operations, litigation support, or contract management.
- Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in CLM tools.
- Strong understanding of legal agreements and litigation processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach with focus on continuous improvement.
