Details of the Job/Internship
Uni Cards is hiring an Assistant Manager - Legal with 3-4 years of experience to work in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on regulatory matters impacting the FinTech industry, with a strong emphasis on RBI and other regulations, including but not limited to areas such as digital lending, credit cards, payments and other financial products and services.
- Work closely with product teams to ensure product offering comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide legal guidance during the development and launch of new financial products and services.
- Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape and advise the business on changes affecting business or product offerings.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise high-stakes FinTech partnership agreements and other commercial contracts for business teams, including areas such as technology, marketing, real estate etc. Ensure that agreements align with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advise internal business teams on a wide range of legal issues, including data privacy, intellectual property (IPR), employment law, marketing compliance, FEMA, FDI regulations, and TRAI guidelines.
- Provide legal support in drafting and reviewing internal policies, including terms and conditions for various business activities, product offerings, and customer-facing services.
- Participate in industry body discussions and committees to stay informed about regulatory and compliance changes and contribute to discussions that shape the regulatory environment for the FinTech industry.
- When required, liaise with external legal counsels to seek specialized advice, support in complex transactions or manage regulatory challenges.

PQE - 3 - 4 years
Qualification - Undergraduate
Work experience: Law firm or inhouse experience. Should also match the organization culture. Familiarity with the overall regulatory landscape for FinTech companies in India.
