Details of the Job/Internship
Unilever is hiring an Assistant Legal Manager (CD South) with 7–8 years of experience to join its Chennai Regional Office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and strategize litigation, including drafting, filing, and coordinating with counsel.
- Provide legal advice on disputes, regulatory issues, and intellectual property protection.
- Offer corporate legal advisory on compliance and risk management.
- Conduct legal awareness sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulators for advocacy and compliance matters.
- Support crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and legal projects assigned by the company.
- Travel as required for litigation, regulatory, and business purposes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- 7–8 years of experience as an in-house counsel in a comparable environment or top-tier law firm.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian laws, litigation processes, and compliance requirements.
- Fluency or proficiency in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, or Malayalam.
- Ability to travel for stakeholder interactions and official matters.
