Details of the Job/Internship
Unilever is hiring an Assistant Legal Manager with 7–8 years of experience to join its South Regional Legal Team at the Chennai Regional Office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Strategize, draft, and manage litigation, including counsel coordination.
- Provide legal advice on disputes, regulatory issues, brand protection, and intellectual property.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and support corporate legal advisory.
- Assist in crisis and issue management, legal risk mitigation, and external advocacy.
- Deliver legal support for assigned business/legal projects.
- Conduct legal awareness sessions and liaise with regulators and stakeholders.
- Travel as required for legal, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- 7–8 years of relevant experience, including in-house and top-tier law firm exposure.
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws: contracts, IP, labour laws, and compliance.
- Fluent in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, or Malayalam.
- Comfortable with full-time onsite role in Chennai.
