Details of the Job/Internship

Godrej Enterprises Group is hiring an Assistant Manager for Intellectual Property Rights (Trademarks and Copyrights) with 4–7 years of experience. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the trademark and copyright lifecycle, including searches, filings, prosecution, oppositions, and renewals.
• Execute brand protection strategies, including anti-counterfeiting raids, online takedowns, and marketplace enforcement.
• Draft, vet, and negotiate IP-related commercial agreements (License Agreements, Assignment Deeds, Co-existence Agreements).
• Provide proactive legal opinions on brand architecture, advertising claims, and ASCI complaints.
• Maintain IP management systems (e.g., Iolite) and generate MIS dashboards for risk exposure.
• Conduct internal IP awareness workshops and capacity-building programs for R&D and Marketing teams.
• Coordinate with external counsel, the Trademark Registry, and enforcement agencies.

Eligibility

• Essential: Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
• Preferred: Specialization, certification, or diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a reputed IP law firm or an in-house legal department.
• Experience in brand-heavy industries (FMCG, retail, or consumer products) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and IP management software.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle international trademark portfolios and enforcement matters independently.
