Details of the Job/Internship
Haptik is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with experience of 4–7 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage legal matters including contracts, compliance and intellectual property.
- Draft, review and negotiate customer, vendor and partnership agreements.
- Advise on regulatory compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align legal strategies with business goals.
- Conduct legal research and risk assessments.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
- Assist with litigation and dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel.
- Provide training on legal policies and best practices.
Eligibility
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 4–7 years of legal experience in SaaS, technology or corporate law.
- Strong understanding of contract law and technology-related agreements.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Experience with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Preferred: In-house experience in a technology or SaaS company, familiarity with IP law and compliance programs.
