HM.CLAUSE is hiring an Assistant Manager - Legal with experience in business law and corporate legal functions to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and standardize legal templates.
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including digital archiving and maintaining internal management systems.
- Administer legal claims by issuing demand notices and coordinating follow-up actions until closure.
- Liaise with external counsel for litigation and represent the company before courts, tribunals, and government authorities.
- Provide day-to-day legal advisory to internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, HR, and R&D.
- Monitor and manage various insurance policies (liability, property, transport) and handle related claims.
- Conduct legal awareness training and update internal SOPs to mitigate proactive compliance risks.
- Support property-related legal processes, including the verification and registration of lease documentation.
- Assist in secretarial compliances under the Companies Act (optional for semi-qualified CS candidates).
- Identify legal risks, conduct audits, and develop corrective action plans to secure international operations.
Eligibility
- Law Graduate with a strong foundation in Business Law and Commercial Litigation.
- Experience in contract negotiation and managing legal departments within a corporate or matrix environment.
- Proficiency in handling insurance portfolios and claims management.
- Strong analytical capacity, precision, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and propose pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment; familiarity with the Companies Act is an advantage.
- High degree of integrity, ethics, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
