Details of the Job/Internship
Meesho is looking for a candidate for the position of Assistant Manager- Corporate Legal with 5 to 7 years of experience to join them at their office in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of diverse commercial agreements - including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/tech, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and other applicable laws.
- Support and execute corporate transactions (M&A, joint ventures, investments, restructurings).
- Partner with business teams to anticipate legal risks and shape pragmatic solutions.
- Engage and manage external counsel for specialist mandates and due diligence.
- Monitor regulatory developments, interpret implications for the business, and proactively recommend policy/process changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and risk frameworks.
- Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, with proven experience in high-value contracts and transactions.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, actionable business advice.
- Strategic thinker with sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple priorities.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
- Commercial mindset - balancing legal risk with business opportunity.
Eligibility
- Qualified LLB with 5-7 years of PQE.
- Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in-house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Experience handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Possess an analytical and strategic minds.
Salary/Stipend
