Details of the Job/Internship

V-Mart Retail Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Manager - Compliance (Legal) in Gurugram, Haryana.

Role and Responsibilities

• Procuring and Renewing critical licenses/ regulatory permits required for a retail organisation
• Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program via Compliance Tool
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive trackers for monitoring licenses and compliances
• Implement digital compliance tools to automate compliance tracking process
• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them w.r.t Licenses
• Proactively audit compliance processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
• Evaluate business activities (e.g., investments) to assess compliance risk
• Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed resolve potential risk issues
• Educate and train zone and store teams w.r.t licenses and compliance procedures and industry practices
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control

Eligibility

• Must have 1 to 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• A Master’s degree in law (LL.M.) is preferred.
